Born in Valencia, Spain in 1970, Rafael (Rafa) Palop began his sailing career at the age of 5, sailing the waters of the Mediterranean with his father.
Sailing has been his passion ever since, although he has taken time out to obtain a college degree in Business Administration and, in what he likes to describe as his “regular job”, works at a ceramic tile distribution company he co-founded in 1996.
